    1. Scope

    1.1 This specification covers the requirements and test methods for the material, dimensions, and workmanship, and the properties of extruded sheet, rod and tubular bar manufactured from PVDF. 1.2 The properties included in this specification are those required for the compositions covered. Requirements necessary to identify particular characteristics important to specialized applications are described by using the classification system given in Section 4. 1.3 The values stated in English units are to be regarded as the standard in all property and dimensional tables. For reference purposes, SI units are also included in Tables X and S-PVDF only. 1.4 The following safety hazards caveat pertains only to the test method or test methods described in this specification. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, and health and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory requirements prior to use. NOTE 1There is no known ISO equivalent to this standard. ISO 12086-1 and ISO 12086-2 have pertinent information.


    Tensile; Flexural; properties


    The standard D6713 is very old and it is not very good at all and this new standard will replace it. In fact, it is almost impossible to meet except for maybe one grade of PVDF that is not even used for those purposes any longer. The people offering finished products to this standard likely are failing on tensile or elongation and just not complying (they would likely say they comply without provided associated data).
