    Rationale

ASTM B368 is a test method with no precision and bias and no real evaluation specified. Since it does not produce a test result, the proposal is to turn it into a practice. This will remove the requirement for a precision and bias statement while still remaining available for reference for test methods and specifications that use the test method. This update will not change the procedure. Future work items may be proposed to deal with the current issues with repeatability of corrosion coupon results or difficulties of meeting collections during this test.
