    Rationale

    Task Group studies using this test method indicated that earlier models of sealed Rotorless shear rheometer did not have adequate sensitivity at low strain and torque levels to make this test method useful, while later models did. The purpose of this work item is to propose language specifying instruments that can be used with this test method that will produce sensitivity levels to make the test method useful.
