Developed by Subcommittee: D37.03 | Committee D37 | Contact Staff Manager

    WK69125

    1. Scope

This practice is applicable to organizations engaged in the cultivation, processing, testing, packaging and labeling, and storage of cannabis products intended for human consumption, including those derived from hemp. This guide describes the minimum requirements for conducting stability testing of new cannabis products with the purpose of determining appropriate storage conditions and shelf-life.

    Keywords

Cannabis, marijuana, hemp, stability, shelf-life, expiration date, storage

    Rationale

The purpose of stability testing is to provide evidence on how the quality of cannabis or a cannabis-based product varies with time under the influence of a variety of environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and light, and to establish a re-test period for the cannabis product or a shelf life for the cannabis product under recommended storage conditions.

The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
