Rationale

The aim of this work item is to modify the procedures during the conditioning period as described in Section 10.2.2. The modifications to the section are to adjust the timing for conditioning period and monitoring of the temperature during the conditioning period. Currently, the prisms are required to be conditioned for 16 +/- 4 hrs before reading. Modifying the duration to 18 +/- 6 hrs maintains the same minimum amount of time for conditioning, but allows for measurements to occur at 24 hrs. Thus, improving the ease of scheduling measurements for the laboratory.
