Advances in weaving technology now permit the insertion of multiple picks of individual multifilament yarns in the same shed of woven fabrics. Due to possible entanglement between the individual multifilament yarns, during the manufacturing, finishing or packaging processes, of the individual multifilament yarns from the inserted filament bundle may not agree with the manufacturers original specifications. As a result, when the number of multiple yarns contained within an inserted filament bundle cannot be consistently determined by a laboratory, the filament bundle, whether it be in the warp or the filling, will be counted as one.
