    Non-metallic Ties 1.Non-metallic ties (e.g. zip-ties) may be used to tie lathing side and end laps and key attachment flange lathing accessories to lathing. 2.Non-metallic ties are non-corrosive, non-stretching, self-locking, non-releasable, weather-resistant, UV stable and are in common use where metallic corrosion is of concern. 3.When the plaster is applied it keys the lathing accessory key attachment flanges to the lath and when the plaster hardens the tie has no further function.
