    1. Scope

    This practice covers a procedure to determine the resistance of annealed architectural flat glass that is used in sealed insulating glass units to thermally induced stresses caused by exposure to solar irradiance for a specified probability of breakage. Proper use of this procedure is intended to reduce the possibility of thermal breakage of annealed glass that is used in sealed insulating glass units in buildings
