    1. Scope

    1.Scope 1.1.This standard specifies requirements and test methods for tactical operation video systems used by public safety in tactical operations, such as reconnaissance/detection, surveillance, situational awareness, or event capture. 1.2.The standard addresses the following types of tactical operation video systems: a)Hand-held camera (pole-mounted, videoscope) b)Hand-deployed (throwable) c)Robot-mounted camera d)Portable (fixed) camera e)Covert (fixed) camera (ex: camera mounted on utility pole) f)Covert placement camera (ex: portable under-door camera) 1.3.This standard does not address closed circuit television (CCTV) systems or body-worn cameras.
