    Rationale

1.Updated all locations of SI and English units so that SI units are listed first 2.Redefined bar as product that is provided as straightened and cut to defined lengths. The old definition limited bar to a minimum dimension and that is not true in the modern era 3.Redefined wire as a product form that is provided in coil form 4.Updated the footnote for table 1, Mechanical Requirements, Bar and Wire, reference the gauge lengths relative to their respective test methods 5.Added 7.1.3, and 7.1.4 to elaborate on requirements for testing and certifying non-specified elements 6.Reworded footnote A for Table 4 to specify that table 4 limits conform to the applicable specifications for Wire and Bar and added reference to A484/A484M 7.Added 7.2.3 to elaborate that the product analysis does not broaden the heat analysis 8.Renumbered 7.2.3 to 7.2.4 to accommodate added paragraphs 9.Added test headings, such as Intergranular Corrosion in Section 11 to improve readability. Renumbered sections as required by this change. 10.Added the word homogenous to the grain size requirement in 11.2.1. This addition harmonizes the specification with ASTM F 139.
