ASTM WK64646

New Practice for Standard Guide for Representative Sampling of Cannabis Extracts, and Derivatives for Analytical Testing

    (What is a Work Item?)

Developed by Subcommittee: D37.03 | Committee D37 | Contact Staff Manager

    1. Scope

Cannabis plants tend to exhibit a high degree of non-homogeneity in the distribution of their inherent chemistries. Standardized sampling protocol enables sampling that is minimized in variability, thus assuring more standardized representative samples. Such sampling standardization is critical for the validity of subsequent Lab Testing. This method will provide standard sampling practices to assure minimization of the effect of non-homogeneity of constitute chemistries for application to batches of cannabis extracts and derivatives.
