    In accordance with ASTM Regulation 10.2.1, SC A Chairman Coleman Jones has established a Task Group on Water Tolerance & Phase Separation. The TG Scope is To review the applicable mandatory sections of D4814 that discuss Water Tolerance and Phase Separation and suggest possible revisions. I will use this Collaboration Area as a repository for documents, comments and drafts. All interested members if SC A will have an opportunity to be part of this TG. The Scope of Standard Specification ASTM D4814-18a advises the user that the specification covers the establishment of requirements of liquid automotive fuels for ground vehicles equipped with spark-ignition engines and provides for a variation of the volatility and water tolerance of automotive fuel in accordance with seasonal climatic changes at the locality where the fuel is used. This ballot seeks to resolve any ambiguity in D4814 in regards to the acceptability of a phase separated fuel being introduced into a vehicle or equipment fuel tank.
