    Keywords

    acid resistance; adhesion promoting; alkali resistance; curing compounds; liquid membrane-forming compounds; sealers; yellowing resistance; Adhesion promoting compounds/materials; Alkali resistance; Concrete construction materials/applications--specifications; Curing (of concrete)--specifications; Hardened concrete--specifications; Liquid membrane-forming compounds; Ready-mixed concrete--specifications; Sealants--specifications; Sealants (concrete); Ultraviolet (UV) analysis; Yellowing resistance;

    Rationale

    Revision of section 6.6 on adhesion to make the adhesion requirement optional. In the current version of the standard it is a mandatory requirement. The matter was discussed and agreed on at a SC meeting during the June 2018 committee week (6/26/18). The rationale for the revision is that is was widely agreed that adhesion testing is no longer always needed in industry practice, so the requirement should be optional.
