ASTM WK63866

Revision of A182 / A182M - 18 Standard Specification for Forged or Rolled Alloy and Stainless Steel Pipe Flanges, Forged Fittings, and Valves and Parts for High-Temperature Service

    (What is a Work Item?)

    Active Standard: A182 / A182M - 18

Developed by Subcommittee: A01.22 | Committee A01 | Contact Staff Manager

    WK63866

    1. Rationale

Remove the combination of Nb + Ta and replace with Nb only similar to actions taken in A01.17 for the same grade of F93. The Blue Book does not encourage the combination of elements, Ta is expensive and is not usually intentionally added, and the combination of these two can result in customers expecting that both elements be reported even though Ta is usually not present.
