    alloy steel bars; alloy steel bolting; bolting components; bolting materials; hardness; heat treatment; stainless steel bolting;;

    Rationale

    Cutting ASTM A193 B7M threaded rod can be and is being performed without effecting the cut surface. With the technology and equipment presently being used, the independent lab tests and examination results provide evidence that the cut surface is not being hardened or altered when the B7M All Thread Rod is cut. Many years ago, this was not the case. Many different types of saws were used to cut B7M all thread rods and all showed no effect, metallurgical or mechanical, when tested.
