This test method provides a rapid portable means for field and lab use to rate the estimated suitability of a biodiesel (D6751 specification B100) blend stock that has a cloud point below 20 degrees C (68 degrees F) to provide adequate operability performance of blends of the blend stock with petroleum diesel at temperatures at or above the cloud point of the blends. The formal precision of this test method is included in this standard.

There isnt an existing standard that gives an indication of the blendability of B100 into ULSD. This standard will be used to give a prediction of the quality of the biodiesel blend product from the B100 sample tested. This standard will be helpful to the biodiesel producers, blenders, and labs that test B100.
