1.1 This test method is for the determination of water in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The detection range for water, reported as mg/kg, is 1 to 120. 1.2 The range of this test method may be extended to higher concentration by selection of a smaller sample loop. Note 1 Dilution will reduce method precision. 1.3 The values stated in SI units are standard. Within the Moisture in LPG task group, stockholders are asking for a water in lpg method. While it is currently being utilized by them already, they are asking for an ASTM method to be able to place into specifications for trade.
