    1. Scope

    1.1 This specification covers requirements and test methods for materials, dimensions, workmanship, markings for factory-manufactured high-pressure thermoplastic liner containing a reinforcing aramid fabric (see Figure 1) for the non-structural trenchless rehabilitation of liquid and gas lines. This system specification includes end connections and installation procedures. It covers design pressures up to 62 bar (899 psi) in nominal diameters from 150 with an outer diameter 134 mm (5.28 inches)up to 500 with an outer diameter 454 mm (17.87 inches) for installation into host pipe with nominal diameter from 6 to 20 inches. 1.2 The same thermoplastic liner system may be used as a stand-alone pipeline provided that the pipeline is not buried. The piping is designed for containment and transport of pressurized liquids. The piping has sufficient flexibility to allow coiling, and for use in rehabilitation of existing pipelines. The piping system is not designed to withstand external soil loads. Underground applications are limited to lining of structural host piping.
