a. Develop a draft standard that defines the requirements for a parachute system that would allow an applicant/proponent to obtain approval to operate a small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) directly over people. b. Prior to submitting it for ASTM ballot, circulate it for review/comment to other stakeholders not on the Task Group to include other parachute system suppliers, sUAS manufacturers and/or operators, etc. c. Finalize the draft standard using the ASTM balloting process. d. Publish an approved ASTM standard. e. Work with the FAA or appropriate civil aviation authority (CAA) to obtain a Notice of Availability (NOA) for this standard.
