In order to keep ASTM F2291 harmonized with the EN 13814:2004 (E) and ISO/TS 17929:2014 standards, the G-Force Task Group recommends that FIG. 2 be replaced. Included are the old figure and the new figure for comparison. These changes are chiefly: 1.The At rest note has been changed for clarity. 2.The triangular area in Area 1 near (-0.2Gx, +0.7Gz) has been moved from Area 1 to Area 2. 3.The axes labels have been changed from ax and az to Gx and Gz respectively to be consistent with other locations in the standard. 4.The Area 5 boundary at -1.8 Gz was added back to the figure because it was inadvertently omitted in the 2011 update of this figure.
