    1. Scope

    1.1.This specification covers protectors to be worn over electrical workers rubber insulating gloves and mittens not covered by ASTM F-696. 1.2.Rubber insulating gloves meeting Specification D120 or materials and leather protectors meeting Specification F696 are not covered by this specification. 1.3.This standard measures and describes the response of protectors gloves to electric arc, puncture and cut under controlled conditions, but does not by itself incorporate all factors required for the industrial risk assessment of the materials. 1.4.Optional requirements for chemical resistance, abrasion, dexterity are maintained in the Appendix of this document and are in accordance with ANSI 105.
