    1. Scope

    1.1 This test method describes the calibration of the thermal effusivity signal of modified transient plane source apparatus. The range of application is 42 W s1/2/(m2 K) to 31 000 W s1/2/(m2 K) at ambient temperature. Calibration specimens are commonly right circular cylinders 2 to 3 cm in diameter and 0.1 to 3 cm in length. 1.2 SI Units are the standard. 1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
