    1. Scope

    1.1 This specification establishes the requirements for drawn, soft annealed round copper electrode wire used in welding machines for the purpose of seam welding of cans. 1.2 Units--The values stated in SI units are regarded as the standard. The values given in parenthesis are mathematical conversions to inch-pounds that are provided for information only and are not to be considered standard.

    There is no ASTM specification adressing electrode can wire that has requirements different from other wire/conductors.
