Research Report RR:D02-1618
Long-standing criticism of the relatively poor precision of the important ASTM Test Method D 892 was addressed in a 2003 Interlaboratory Study (Round Robin) in attempts to optimize the operation of the method and improve its precision. The twelve (12) participating laboratories included ten (10) user laboratories, one commercial test laboratory and one foam test instrument manufacturer's laboratory. Eight of the laboratories used liquid baths and four used air baths.
