Significance and Use

Rubber hose has an inherent characteristic of permitting diffusion of a gas through the hose structure. This test method quantitatively measures the loss of liquefied petroleum gas.

Scope

1.1 This test method covers the determination of the volume of liquefied petroleum gas diffusing through the wall of a hose during a specified period of time.

1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard.
