The 80+ volume Annual Book of ASTM Standards contains ASTM's 12,000+ standards and is available in print and Online formats (learn more about format options). The volumes can be purchased individually, as a section (at a 25% discount) or as the complete 80+ volume set (at a 50% discount).

Provides the latest standards on nondestructive testing of engineering materials, structures and assemblies to detect flaws and characterize the properties of materials. NDT methods cover:

Reference Radiological Images—illustrating the type and degree of discontinuities found in castings and welds. Others detail the procedures required for proper radiographic examination.

Radiology (Neutron, X, Gamma) —test methods cover calibration and measurement of CT density, radioscopic examination of weldments and quality control of radiographic film processing.

Digital Imaging—practices and guides cover digital imaging and communication in nondestructive evaluation, including computerized transfer of radiological and ultrasonic examination data.

Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant Examination—test methods, practices, and photographs examine requirements.

Acoustic Emission—procedures for operating acoustic emission sensors and monitoring structures.

Ultrasonic—practices for examination of tubing, weldments, and other materials.

Electromagnetic—procedures for electromagnetic (eddy current) examination of ferrous and nonferrous metals, and various tubular products.

Leak Testing—procedures for leak testing of open and sealed units; also, infrared methods, NDT agencies, metals sorting and identification.

    Bound Print Volume

    Online Basic

This format provides immediate online access to the active (most current) standards in a Volume. Through a user name and password, you gain instant access to the latest standards in your chosen volumes directly from ASTM's network. These online subscriptions are updated weekly with new and revised standards. You must renew your subscription annually to maintain access to your Volume.

    You enjoy:

    • HTML format for viewing, PDF for printing.
    • Access to the latest standards posted weekly to the ASTM website, eliminating the need to track and purchase standards published throughout the year after the printed formats are available.

The Online Basic version includes Active standards only. An active standard is the current, official version of an ASTM standard.

    Online Plus

Online Plus includes all active standards, plus redline, historical and withdrawn standards. You get access to everything.

Redlines are a quick and easy way to compare all of the changes between the active standard and the previous version. With a redline you'll immediately see additions, deletions, and other changes between the two standards.

A historical standard is a version of an ASTM standard that has been superseded by a more current version. ASTM makes historical standards available for information purposes. For example, an ASTM standard may have a designation and year date of F645-95. If this standard has been superseded by a new version (i.e. F645-99), the previous version, F645-95, is considered historical.

A withdrawn standard is an ASTM standard that has been discontinued by the ASTM Sponsoring Committee responsible for the standard. A standard may be withdrawn with or without replacement. ASTM makes withdrawn standards available for informational purposes.
