To view your committee schedule, use the convenient link on this meetings page. Approximately two weeks prior to the meeting, meeting room names will be added to the schedule.
You must be registered to attend ASTM Meetings. Use our online registration form where you have the ability to register for multiple events, pay fees in advance using a credit card, and receive an electronic confirmation. You may register online at the "Register" link above.
When you preregister online you will receive emails on committee meetings, final announcements and other information that will help you prepare for your meeting. The registration information significantly assists us in preparations for the committee week.
The cut-off for preregistration is Wednesday, November 28, 2012. After this date please register on-site at the ASTM Registration Desk at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.
All meetings will be held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, 265 Peachtree St., NE, Atlanta, GA 30303. Reservations can be made by telephoning the hotel at 800-233-1234. To make your hotel reservation online, visit Reservation at Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Select your dates and proceed as instructed. If you need assistance with your hotel reservation call the hotel directly at 404-577-1234.
Group rate will be honored until the ASTM block is full but no later than November 10, 2012. ASTM rates are $149 single/double plus 16% tax (you must mention ASTM in order to receive a group rate). You may be charged a higher rate if reservations are received after the cut-off date, or when the block is full.
U.S. GOVERNMENT RATES: The Hyatt Regency Atlanta has a limited number of rooms at the Government per diem rate of $133.
IMPORTANT! ASTM Rates are non-commissionable. If you book your reservation through a travel agent they must ask for a non-commissioned ASTM Group Rate. ASTM cannot adjust your higher rate if commissions were paid to a travel agency.
ADVANCE DEPOSIT: The Hyatt Regency Atlanta requires a credit card to guarantee your reservation.
CONFIRMATION NOTICES: The Hyatt Regency Atlanta Reservation Center sends confirmations by email.
CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY: At the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, notice of cancellation must be received by 3:00pm, 24 hours prior to arrival date.
Check the ASTM website for updates on overflow hotel room availability.
INTERNET: The Hyatt Regency Atlanta provides internet access throughout the hotel at a cost of $12.95 for 24 hours. ASTM provides complimentary internet access in the Members' Work Area.
ASTM MEMBERS' WORK AREA: ASTM is providing computers with an internet connection. This area will also be wireless for your laptop computer. You may visit the ASTM website, apply or renew your membership, order publications or check your email. The complimentary wireless service is limited to the members' work area only.
HEADQUARTERS AND TRANSPORTATION

AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE: Go to the transportation booth at the airport and ask for a shuttle to the Hyatt Regency Atlanta downtown. We recommend the Atlanta Airport Shuttle Service (T.A.A.S.S.). 404.941.3440. No reservations are necessary for arranging transportation from the Atlanta Airport to the hotel. It runs 6 a.m. to midnight from the airport and it leaves the hotel every 10 and 40 minutes after the hour. $16.50 one way/$29 round trip per person. Taxis cost approximately $35.
MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) - From inside Hartsfield International Airport, MARTA runs Monday thru Friday from 5:00am thru 1:00am every 20 minutes and on weekends and holidays from 5:00am thru 12:30am every 25 minutes. The cost for MARTA is $2.50 one way.
PARKING: Valet parking is available at $32 per day with in and out privileges.
ASTM TRAINING SESSIONS
ASTM staff will provide several training sessions on various subjects to educate and assist officers, members and non-members of ASTM committees. The following topics will be discussed:
- ASTM Online (Tuesday) 12:00pm - 1:00pm
This module is designed to provide information about the vast array of tools available to members on the ASTM website. These tools are designed to facilitate worldwide participation in the ASTM standard development process. The module will provide information on balloting, online negative ballot resolution, registering work items, submitting ballot items, standards tracking, collaboration areas, roster maintenance, virtual meeting, and other website enhancements.
Developing and Revising an ASTM Standard (Wednesday) 12:00pm - 1:00pm
During this joint Technical Committee Operations and Editorial module, we will review both new and revised standards as they go through the development and publication process. We will cover how standard ideas are introduced, drafted, and publicized as well as review ASTM's electronic tools and time-tested techniques for accelerating the development of your standard. Included in the workshop will be a brief review of work items registration, the three stages of balloting, and an explanation of the key roles of your editor and the standard's technical contact.
Refreshments will be available at both sessions.

COMMITTEE ACTIVITY FEES
Several ASTM committees collect a voluntary fee to support activities associated within the committee such as awards, social events, etc. Each committee determines the fee amount and encourages your contribution. You now have the ability to pay this fee online in advance on the preregistration page. This fee is not an ASTM International society fee.
Several committees hold planned banquet events. You now have the ability to purchase your tickets on-line in advance on the preregistration page. Your tickets will be available on-site at the Registration Area.
COMPLIMENTARY SUPPORT SERVICES
Committee Week Meetings offer on-site services from the ASTM staff. We provide photocopying service, audio/visual equipment, and a members' work area with complimentary internet computers. We also have an editor on-site to assist you with the form and style of standards, editorial changes and first drafts of standards.
Join us for coffee and breakfast pastries Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 9:30am at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. A representative from the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau will be on hand with information on what to see and do in Atlanta. Members have the option to determine their dress at ASTM meetings. Business casual attire is acceptable at this meeting and appropriate for Atlanta. The average temperatures in December range from a high of 54 degrees to a low of 35 degrees.
Please advise the hotel and ASTM of any disability which will require special attention. The Hyatt Regency Atlanta is in compliance with ADA standards.
