PREREGISTRATION

YOU MUST BE REGISTERED TO ATTEND ASTM MEETINGS. Use our online registration form where you have the ability to register for multiple events, pay fees in advance using a credit card and receive an electronic confirmation.

When you preregister online you will receive emails on committee meetings, special announcements and other information that will help you prepare for your meeting. The registration information significantly assists us in preparations for the committee week.

The cut-off for preregistration is Wednesday, April 22, 2015. After this date please register on-site at the ASTM Registration Desk at the Marriott Anaheim.



HOTEL

All meetings will be held at the Marriott Anaheim, 700 West Convention Way, Anaheim, CA 92802. Reservations may be made by telephoning the hotel directly at 714-750-8000. To make your hotel reservation on-line, visit: https://resweb.passkey.com/go/2015aprilmtg. Select your dates and proceed as instructed. If you need assistance with your hotel reservation call the hotel directly.

Group rate will be honored until the ASTM block is full but no later than Wednesday, March 18, 2015. ASTM rates are $159 single/double plus 18% taxes and fees (when calling directly you must mention ASTM to receive a group rate). You may be charged a higher rate if reservations are received after the cut-off date, or when the block is full.

U.S. GOVERNMENT RATES: The Marriott Anaheim has a limited number of rooms at the government per diem rate of $138. Please refer to the ASTM International government block to make your reservation.

There is a 15% occupancy tax a 2% Anaheim Tourism Improvement District Assessment, a California State Tourism Fee of $0.70 per night and an occupancy tax.

IMPORTANT! ASTM Rates are non-commissionable. If you book your reservation through a travel agent they must ask for a non-commissioned ASTM Group Rate. ASTM cannot adjust your higher rate if commissions were paid to a travel agency.

ADVANCE DEPOSIT: The Marriott Anaheim requires a credit card to guarantee your reservation.

CONFIRMATION NOTICES: The Marriott Anaheim Reservation Center sends confirmations by email.

CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY: At the Marriott Anaheim, notice of cancellation must be received prior to 6:00pm on day of arrival.

Check the ASTM website for updates on overflow hotel room vailability.

INTERNET: The Marriott Anaheim provides internet access throughout the hotel at a cost of $12.95 per day.

ASTM MEMBERS' WORK AREA (COMPLIMENTARY INTERNET): ASTM provides computers with an internet connection. This area will also be wireless for your laptop computer. You may visit the ASTM website, apply or renew your membership, order publications or check your email.



HEADQUARTERS AND TRANSPORTATION

The hotel is located approximately 12 miles/20 minutes from the John Wayne Airport and 35 miles/60 minutes from LAX. The hotel's phone number is 714-750-8000 and the general fax number is 714-750-9100. The web site for the hotel is Marriott Anaheim.

AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE: Super Shuttle Service is available at the baggage claim terminal. The cost is $21 per person round trip from the John Wayne Airport and $32 per person round trip from LAX. Taxis cost approximately $35 from John Wayne Airport and $90 from LAX.

PARKING: Parking is available for $24 self parking and $28 valet parking with in and out privileges.



ASTM TRAINING SESSIONS

ASTM staff will provide several training sessions on various subjects to educate and assist officers, members and non-members of ASTM committees. The following topics will be discussed:

  • Developing and Revising an ASTM Standard (Tuesday) 12:00pm - 1:00pm

  • The ASTM Balloting Process and Addressing Negative Votes (Wednesday) 12:00pm - 1:00pm

    This session will discuss the ASTM balloting process, how to resolve negative votes using the Online Negative Resolution Tool in the MyASTM section of the ASTM website and how to write an effective negative. Additionally, the roles that the subcommittee chairs, technical contacts, and ASTM Staff play throughout this process will be discussed.

  • Refreshments will be available at all sessions.

    COMMITTEE ACTIVITY FEES

    Several ASTM committees collect a voluntary fee to support activities associated within the committee such as awards, social events, etc. Each committee determines the amount, encourages your contribution, and can be paid on-line in advance on the preregistration page. This voluntary contribution is not an ASTM International society fee.

    SPECIAL ACTIVITY

    Please purchase your tickets on-line in advance if you plan to attend any events. Your tickets will be available on site at the registration desk.

    COMPLIMENTARY SUPPORT SERVICES

    Committee Week Meetings offer on-site services from the ASTM staff. We provide photocopying service, audio/visual equipment, and a members' work area with complimentary internet computers. We also have an editor on-site to assist you with the form and style of standards, editorial changes and first drafts of standards.

    MEMBERS BREAKFAST

    Join your elected officers and staff for a continental breakfast on Wednesday morning at 7:00am sharp at the Marriott Anaheim. At this breakfast, you will hear an update on ASTM and have an opportunity to ask questions or share your comments. You may pick up your ticket at the ASTM registration desk.



    SPOUSES' HOSPITALITY

    Join us for coffee and breakfast pastries Monday through Wednesday from 8:30am to 9:30am at the Marriott Anaheim. A representative from the Anaheim Convention and Visitors Bureau will be on hand with information on what to see and do in Anaheim.     DRESS/WEATHER

    Attendees have the option to determine their dress at ASTM meetings. Business casual attire is acceptable at this meeting and appropriate for Anaheim. The average temperatures in April range from a high of 76 degrees to a low of 53 degrees.

    MISCELLANEOUS
