Symposia / General Information

D22 Air Quality
Pre-registration requested to attend this meeting.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Since 1986, Johnson Conferences have served as forums for the discussion of asbestos issues. Held in the beautiful summers of northern Vermont, the Johnson Conference has a tradition of no recording/no publication that has encouraged forthright presentations and discussions of novel ideas and controversial issues. As such, these conferences have generated lively exchanges of ideas that have shaped many of the asbestos monitoring methods and strategies used today.

Scope
Detection, reporting, risk assessment, and regulation of asbestos and other fibrous minerals is as relevant today as when the first Johnson Conference was held.

Format
The conference will be held over five days (Monday July 21 through Friday July 25), consisting of nine sessions. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons are left open to allow participants to enjoy the attractions of Vermont, with evening sessions held Tuesday and Thursday.

Who Should Attend
Professionals and lay-persons with established as well as developing interests in asbestos who want to be informed of the latest information on asbestos issues will find this conference to be especially rewarding. This includes environmental consultants, laboratory analysts and managers, building owners, epidemiologists, land use planners and regulators, and federal, state, and local government officials responsible for making and reviewing decisions based on the findings of these studies.

The language of the symposium will be English.
