ABOUT THE EVENT

A Workshop on Antimicrobial Copper — New Developments will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013, 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM. Sponsored by ASTM Committee B05 on Copper and Copper Alloys, the workshop will be held at the Hyatt Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida, in conjunction with the October standards development meetings of the committee.

Objective

The Workshop will cover the final published results from the US DoD-sponsored antimicrobial copper hospital trials showing an overall reduction in Hospital Acquired Infections during the study period.

Recent developments in antimicrobial copper product availability, installations and continued supply chain activities in the marketplace will also be presented.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Online registration opens approximately 8 weeks before the workshop and closes October 16, 2013. There is no fee to attend the workshop.

Students – A student's fee is waived, provided that he/she is a full-time student and is not employed full time. After registering online, the student must check in at the ASTM Registration Desk on site and present his/her student ID.

All attendees, including presenters and ASTM members, are urged to register online for this event so that space requirements can be accommodated. If you do not register online by the closing date, then you must register upon arrival at the workshop. All attendees must check in at the ASTM registration desk upon arrival at workshop.

HOTEL INFORMATION

All meetings will be held at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, 225 East Coastline Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32202. Reservations may be made by via our online reservation system at Reservation at Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront.

Select your dates and proceed as instructed. Reservations may also be made by telephoning the hotel at 1-800-233-1234 (you must mention ASTM in order to receive the group rate.) If you need assistance with your reservation call the Passkey customer service department at 1-800-421-1442.

Group rate will be honored until the ASTM block is full but no later than September 4, 2013. ASTM rates are $155 single/double plus 14.13% tax. The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront has a limited number of rooms at the government per diem rate of $80 plus 14.13% tax. You must present your ID at the front desk upon check-in. You may be charged a higher rate if reservations are received after the cut-off date, or when the block is full.

IMPORTANT! ASTM rates are non-commissionable. If you book your reservation through a travel agent they must ask for a non-commissioned ASTM Group Rate. ASTM cannot adjust your higher rate if commissions were paid to a travel agency.

ADVANCE DEPOSIT: Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront requires a credit card to guarantee your reservation.

CONFIRMATION NOTICES: A confirmation number is privided to you electronically once your reservation has been submitted.

CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY: At the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, notice of cancellation must be received by 3:00pm the day prior to arrival.

Check the ASTM website for updates on overflow hotel room availability.

INTERNET: The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront provides internet access through the hotel at a cost of $14.95 for 24 hours. The hotel offers free wireless internet service in the hotel lobby.

TRANSPORTATION AND DIRECTIONS

AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE: Express Shuttle provides regular schedules shuttle service from Jacksonville International Airport to the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront. The cost is $20 each way. Taxis cost approximately $40.

PARKING: Overnight parking is available at $20 for valet and $15 self parking with in and out privileges.
