    ABOUT THE EVENT

The 33rd Symposium on Pesticide Formulation and Delivery Systems: "Sustainability: Contributions from Formulation Technology". Sponsored by ASTM Committee E35 on Pesticides, Antimicrobials, and Alternative Control Agents.

The symposium will be held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in Atlanta, GA, in conjunction with the October standards development meetings of Committee E35 October 23-25, 2012:
    -Tuesday, October 23 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
    -Wednesday, October 24 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    -Thursday, October 25 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    Objective
    The Symposium has several purposes.

    • It provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of new pesticide, adjuvant, fertilizer, and related agrichemical product formulations.
    • It provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of chemistry and physical properties of chemicals used to manufacture such formulations.
    • It provides a forum for new ideas regarding delivery systems.
    • Standards may be presented as well as the science behind those standards.
    • It provides a venue for networking among participants.

At the 2012 Symposium we want to address Sustainability and the role the formulation chemist plays in this arena. In addition to the use of renewable resources, sustainability can be defined in many other ways such as the efficient use of inputs, agronomic practices, and increased efficacy with respect to performance. Many topics will be apparent within this theme.

The language of the symposium will be English.
