1. Scope
A guide for designing steel ship structure repair doubler plate. This is for temporary repair use until the next shipyard survey period.
During a voyage or routine maintenance, one may found a crack or cracks in the ship structure. In order to ensure the structural soundness, one must perform a temporary repair in order to maintain the structure until the next yard period.
