About the Course

This course covers the latest ASTM practices and test methods for asbestos control, including:

  • Asbestos survey and assessment methodologies that provide more information than the AHERA protocols taught in most training courses
  • New quantitative assessment protocol that uses an innovative graphical technique to help you decide whether to remove asbestos-containing material or manage it in place
  • Project design surveys that provide information needed to prepare plans and specifications for abatement
  • Negative Exposure Assessments that provide relief from certain provisions of OSHA regulations while remaining in compliance with them
  • Work practices for asbestos-cement products -- the most common use of asbestos fiber worldwide

Who Should Attend

  • Consultants acting as inspectors, project designers and project monitors
  • Managers and supervisors in consulting and abatement contracting firms
