This course covers the test method for a procedure to determine a measure of the acid strength of high ethanol content fuels. These include denatured fuel ethanol and ethanol fuel blends. The test method is applicable to denatured fuel ethanol and ethanol fuel blends containing ethanol at 51% by volume, or more.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Identify apparatus, reagents and materials used for determination of pHe of denatured fuel ethanol and ethanol fuel blends, including thermocompensator and 1 mol/L Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4) solution.
- Recognize requirements for sample containers, including what materials are acceptable.
- Identify procedure for standardization of assembly.
- Recall procedure for determination of pHe of denatured fuel ethanol and ethanol fuel blends, including those for stirring and electrode cleaning and rehydration.
