    Who Should Attend Personnel involved with product quality assurance and regulatory compliance testing, where business decisions such as product quality compliance, product release, specification and manufacturing process target setting have to be made based on measurement data.


    How You Will Benefit This course will explain the use of statistics related to precision and bias in ASTM Standard Test Method, and teach the use of Statistical Control Charts to perform test method quality assurance. Core statistical thinking principles and concepts will be explained. Industry standard test performance metrics such as repeatability, reproducibility, intermediate precision, and associated applications for product quality dispute adjudication will be presented. Detailed methodology per ASTM D6299 on how to set up Statistical Control Charts for test method performance quality assurance over time will be taught. Course will be conducted in a classroom setting with hands-on practice of setting up and interpretation of statistical control charts from a variety of quality control testing results. Special techniques dealing with quality control material transition, accrual of control chart statistics over time, non-normal data, and inadequate measurement resolution will be covered.


    Learn About Since measurement data is a fundamental enabler to all aspects of business improvement, having a fundamental understanding of data quality, how to design and execute control chart work processes to ensure data quality, and the implicit uncertainties associated with measurement data can significantly enhance business process improvement initiatives. Understanding test method performance behavior from control charts can lead to correct decisions as to when to adjust and when not to adjust test methods, which can improve laboratory operations efficiency, reduce waste, and assures the test data produced are fit-for-use and defensible.
