    Robert M. Holcombe, currently the laboratory director at Safety Components Fabric Technologies, Inc., has extensive experience in manufacturing production and quality control. His current responsibilities include supervision in various spun and filament programs.

    Holcombe also has over 25 years of experience in physical and chemical textile testing and development of product and SPC support programs; proficiency test programs; and evaluation testing and certifying of various types of yarns and fabrics produced or purchased, including: woolen and worsted, cotton and blend, carpet, automotive products, non-woven, industrial fabrics, aerospace and geotextiles.

    He serves on the corporate quality audit team; directs an internal audit program and develops and writes specifications using ASTM, DIN, and ISO test methods. Holcombe received his degree in textile management from Clemson University.
