UOP286

1. Scope

This is a semi-quantitative method for determining free (elemental) sulfur or polysulfide sulfur dissolved in peroxide-free petroleum distillates. The lower limit of detection is a mercury number of 1, which is equivalent to approximately 1 mg/kg (mass-ppm).
