    1. Scope

1.1 This is a provisional standard, having completed the Subcommittee level of balloting through the ASTM consensus balloting system. This specification has been published in response to federal and state authorities actively encouraging the development and purchase of manufactured product using recycled materials.

1.2 This specification covers requirements and test methods for materials, marking dimensions, workmanship, elongation, brittleness, pipe stiffness, and perforations for corrugated polyethylene (PE) piping and fittings in nominal sizes of 3 to 6 in., inclusive. The product contains a minimum of 5% recycled polyethylene.

1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

1.4 The following precautionary caveat pertains only to the test methods portion, Section 8, of this specification: This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
