Abstract
This specification covers the general requirements for the standard smooth tire for pavement testing. The tire covered by this specification is intended for evaluation of tire-pavement friction. The tires shall conform to the physical and mechanical test requirements. The following test methods shall be performed: tensile sheet cures; modulus; tensile sheet durometer; restored energy (rebound and resilience); specific gravity; tensile strength; elongation; and tire tread durometer.
