This specification applies to black and yellow varnished woven cloth and tape for electrical insulation, having as a base fabric poly(ethylene terephthalate) yarns in the warp direction and glass yarns in the filler direction.
Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee D09 on Electrical and Electronic Insulating Materials, this practice was withdrawn in January 2013 in accordance with section 10.5.3.1 of the Regulations Governing ASTM Technical Committees, which requires that standards shall be updated by the end of the eighth year since the last approval date.
1.1 This specification applies to black and yellow varnished woven cloth and tape for electrical insulation, having as a base fabric poly(ethylene terephthalate) yarns in the warp direction and glass yarns in the filler direction.
1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard.
