This guide covers general background information for the comparative evaluation and selection of liquid-applied sealants for use in building construction.
Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee C24 on Building Seals and Sealants, this guide was withdrawn in January 2012 in accordance with section 10.5.3.1 of the Regulations Governing ASTM Technical Committees, which requires that standards shall be updated by the end of the eighth year since the last approval date.
1.1 This guide covers general background information for the comparative evaluation and selection of liquid-applied sealants for use in building construction.
1.2 The information contained herein has been submitted by ASTM Committee C-24 members but not verified independently by them.
1.3 This guide is not intended for use as a specification for sealants.
