Sponsored by ASTM Committee D04 on Road and Paving Materials, the workshop will be held at the Marriott Waterside Tampa in Tampa, Florida, in conjunction with the December standards development meetings of the committee. Objective Who should attend? The workshop will be of interest to those involved in production, design and testing of paving materials, pavement and site designers, agency personnel and others concerned about environmental sustainability. Online registration opens approximately 8 weeks before the workshop and closes November 30. There is no fee to attend the workshop. Students – A student's fee is waived, provided that he/she is a full-time student and is not employed full time. After registering online, the student must check in at the ASTM Registration Desk on site and present his/her student ID. All attendees, including presenters and ASTM members, are urged to register online for this event so that space requirements can be accommodated. If you do not register online by the closing date, then you must register upon arrival at the workshop. All attendees must check in at the ASTM registration desk upon arrival at workshop. Workshop attendees interested in receiving 0.7 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) should complete a CEU application form at the adjournment of the workshop, and then submit it to the ASTM staff member on site. A certificate will be sent to the attendee approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the workshop. Use our online registration form where you have the ability to register for multiple events, pay fees in advance using a credit card and receive an electronic confirmation. When you preregister online you will receive emails on committee meetings, final announcements and other information that will help you prepare for your meeting. The registration information significantly assists us in preparations for the committee week. The cut-off for preregistration is Wednesday, December 1, 2010. After this date please register on-site at the ASTM Registration Desk at the Sheraton New Orleans. All meetings will be held at the Sheraton New Orleans,500 Canal St., New Orleans, LA 70130. Select your dates and proceed as instructed. If you need assistance with your hotel reservation call the hotel directly at 1-800-253-6156. Group rate will be honored until the ASTM block is full but no later than Friday, October 29, 2010 ASTM rates are $149 single/double plus 13% tax (you must mention ASTM in order to receive a group rate). You may be charged a higher rate if reservations are received after the cut-off date, or when the block is full. U.S. GOVERNMENT RATES: The Sheraton New Orleans has a limited number of rooms at the government per diem rate of $133. To obtain a government rate, call the hotel directly at 504-525-2500. Please refer to the ASTM International government block to make your reservaton. IMPORTANT! ASTM Rates are non-commissionable. If you book your reservation through a travel agent they must ask for a non-commissioned ASTM Group Rate. ASTM cannot adjust your higher rate if commissions were paid to a travel agency. ADVANCE DEPOSIT: The Sheraton New Orleans requires a credit card to guarantee your reservation. CONFIRMATION NOTICES: The Sheraton New Orleans Reservation Center sends confirmations by email. CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY: At the Sheraton New Orleans, notice of cancellation must be received 72 hours prior to arrival date. Check the ASTM website for updates on overflow hotel room availability. INTERNET: The Sheraton New Orleans provides internet access throughout the hotel at a cost of $6.95 for 24 hours. AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE: New Orleans Airport Shuttle provides service between the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel and Louis Armstrong International Airport. Rates are $20 one way and $38 roundtrip. Call 504-522-3500 for information. Taxis cost approximately $33. PARKING: Overnight parking is available at $31 valet with in and out privileges.
