F04 Medical and Surgical Materials and Devices

    About the Event

A Workshop on The Use of Additives in Biomedical Polymers will be held Tuesday May 6, 2014 8:00am - 5:00pm. Sponsored by ASTM Committee F04 on Medical and Surgical Materials and Devices, the workshop will be held at the Sheraton Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in conjunction with the May standards development meetings of Committee.

    Objective
This workshop is intended to elicit discussion on the benefits, potential hazards, testing, regulatory considerations, and opportunities for standard activities related to intentionally incorporated additives in biomedical polymers. The topic of antioxidant stabilizers for highly cross-linked UHMWPE will be excluded because of previous workshops dealing with that topic.

    Technical Program

A technical program (presentation times, paper titles, and presenters' names) will be posted on the ASTM website by early March.
