Symposia / General InformationE10 Nuclear Technology and Applications
Pre-registration requested to attend this meeting.
ABOUT THE EVENT
The Fifteenth International Symposium on Reactor Dosimetry will be held May 18-23, 2014, at the Hotel Aquabella in Aix en Provence, France. It is being organized by the European Working Group on Reactor Dosimetry (EWGRD), and is jointly sponsored by EWGRD and ASTM International Committee E10 on Nuclear Technology and Applications. It is hosted by the French Atomic Energy and Alternative Energy Commission (CEA)/Cadarache Center.
This Symposium is held approximately every three years to provide a forum for the interchange of state-of-the-art techniques, data bases and standardization of radiation metrology. The Symposium will be of value to those involved in reactor dosimetry, including researchers, manufacturers and representatives from industry, utilities and regulatory agencies. The Symposium theme is dosimetry for the assessment of irradiated reactor materials and reactor experiments, featuring radiation metrology techniques, data bases and standardization. Key topics include the broad areas of:
- Reactor surveillance and plant life management
- Nuclear data
- Neutron and gamma transport calculations and modelling
- Retrospective dosimetry
- Experimental techniques
- Benchmarks and intercomparisons
- Dosimetry for research reactors
The Symposium will be organized into oral and poster presentations, as well as informal round-table workshops. The meeting language will be English. No translations will be provided.
Symposium registration will be available by early February. Registration fees are:
- Early registration: 500 euros (31 March, 2014 included)
- Late registration: 600 euros (1 April, 2014 included)
- Student special fee: 250 euros (official certificate must be provided; social event, the symposium dinner and the book of proceedings are not included)
There will be a technical tour to CEA/Cadarache center on Wednesday afternoon (see Agenda). Registration must be done directly by e-mail before 18 April, 2014. The first 50 reservations will be accepted; others will be placed on a waiting list. Registration for the technical visit may be made in advance of Symposium registration, so as not to penalize those whose Symposium registration must be delayed for administrative reasons.
The registration form for the technical tour must be completed and sent by email to ISRD15@cea.fr with subject "ISRD-15 technical visit". You will receive a confirmation of your reservation.
