A Seminar and Webinar on "Myth Busting: Disputed Issues in Sensory Evaluation" will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Sponsored by ASTM Committee E18 on Sensory Evaluation, the seminar will be held at the Sheraton Downtown Hotel in Phoenix, AZ, in conjunction with the April 17-19 standards development meetings of the Committee.

Spring 2012 Topic is: To Test or Not to Test: Can Consumers Age 65+ Provide Reliable and Relevant Product Guidance?
The seminar will be split into two sections: Analytical Sensory Testing and Affective Testing. Abstracts covering results of discrimination testing and descriptive analysis with subjects over the age of 65 (should be compared versus a younger population) as well as quantitative and/or qualitative research with the aging population should be submitted.
Each abstract will be reviewed by the seminar committee and the top four or five will selected.
