Interlaboratory Crosscheck Test Programs /

Biodiesel

Fee: $555

Schedule: April, August, November

Sample Amount Distributed Each Test Month: Approx 1 gallon

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

ASTM International Proficiency Testing in cooperation with AOCS (www.aocs.org) is pleased to offer a Interlaboratory Crosscheck Program (ILCP) on Biodiesel to laboratories who need a statistical quality assurance tool that will enable them to improve and maintain a high level of performance in conducting routine ASTM biodiesel analyses by comparing their results with those of other laboratories worldwide doing the same testing.

As a program participant, you will receive a sample of biodiesel and all the necessary instructions for the test cycle. Your laboratory will perform the tests that you normally conduct within your own facility using the specified ASTM methods cited in the program. Single determinations by each laboratory are required and not replicate determinations.

Upon completion of the tests, each laboratory will electronically submit its data to ASTM via a secure website. The statistical summary report for each test cycle will be delivered electronically to each participant. Reports contain:

  • Coded laboratory test results
  • Statistical analyses of test data

WHY SHOULD YOUR LABORATORY PARTICIPATE?

You will receive test results, available only to participating laboratories that will help you:

  • Monitor strengths and weaknesses of your laboratory's performance.
  • Periodically compare your test results and calculated statistical parameters with other laboratories.
  • Compare test data for a given quality parameter with laboratories using different ASTM test methods.

NOTE: Participation is not contingent upon performing all program tests and open to testing facilities throughout the world.

TEST MATERIALS

Each participating lab will receive a one (1) gallon can containing of biodiesel for each of the three test cycles conducted during the year.
