Resins and Polymers Subcommittee Urgently Seeks New Members

Resins and Polymers Subcommittee D01.33 urgently seeks manufacturers or users of resins and polymers to review alkyd, latex, phenolic, and silicone resin standards. The group is part of ASTM Committee D01 on Paint and Related Coatings, Materials, and Applications.

The subcommittee requests input as they review ASTM standards for isocyanates and epoxy resins. “The subcommittee has a large backlog of standards that are in danger of being cancelled,” says chairman Kurt Best, development scientist, Bayer Polymers, Pittsburgh, Pa. Subcommittee members have the opportunity to develop standards, vote on proposed standards, and network with stakeholders in their field.
