| Participation Sought in Task Group on Fiber-Reinforced Polymer Standards
ASTM International Committee D30 on Composite Materials invites all interested parties to participate in a new task group on fiber-reinforced polymers. The task group is under the jurisdiction of Subcommittee D30.05 on Structural Test Methods.
The purpose of the new task group is to review a series of tests that the American Concrete Institute has developed through their Committee 440 on Fiber Reinforced Polymer Reinforcement. The ACI committee has decided to convert some of these material tests, which come under the title Guide Test Methods for Fiber-Reinforced Polymers (FRPs) for Reinforcing or Strengthening Concrete Structures, into ASTM International standards. The new task group will review the tests and promulgate them through the ASTM process. //
