ASTM International Members on the Use of Standards in Business and Academia
The online ASTM International Campus was launched last month. The site serves as an information hub for students, describing ASTM International’s free student membership category and how standards are used by professionals in various fields, as well as professors, showing how standards can be brought into university and college curricula.
The Student Forum section of the site includes a series of interviews with professionals who describe how they use ASTM standards in their careers.
The Professor’s Podium comprises interviews with professors who explain the benefits of their membership in ASTM and how they introduce their students to standardization. This month's print issue of SN published two such interviews, one with professor Graham Rankin, and the other with ASTM member and metals expert Paul Whitcraft.
