Specification for Polymeric Fiber Loose-Fill Insulation Under
Way
At their April meeting, Subcommittee C16.23 on Blanket and Loose
Fill Insulation formed a task group to write a standard specification
for loose-fill polymeric fiber insulation for buildings and light-frame
construction.
Polymeric fiber loose-fill is a new insulation product that is
lightweight and has competitive thermal resistance values, said
the task group chairman, David W. Yarbrough, Ph.D., president,
R&D Services, Inc., Cookeville, Tenn. The standard will provide
users with information needed to specify the insulation for construction
projects.
The task group welcomes input and inquiries from interested individuals.
